Booking & Reservations

How do I book a rafting trip?

The easiest way to book your Vjosa rafting adventure is through the secure booking form on our website. You can also give us a call at our office in Përmet to book over the phone. We highly recommend booking in advance, especially during the peak season (June-August), to ensure your spot.

What is your cancellation policy?

We offer a full refund for cancellations made at least 14 days prior to the trip date. For cancellations made between 7 and 14 days, we offer a 50% refund or a full credit for a future trip. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the trip are non-refundable. Please see our Terms & Conditions page for the full policy.

Do you offer discounts for large groups?

Yes, we love hosting groups! We offer special rates for groups of 8 people or more. Please contact us directly with your group size and desired date, and we will provide you with a custom quote for your rafting in Albania experience.

The Rafting Trip

How long will we be on the river?

The time on the water for our classic Wild Vjosa trip is typically between 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the river flow. The total duration of the experience, including transportation from our base, safety briefings, and gearing up, is approximately 4 to 4.5 hours.

Can I bring my phone or camera on the raft?

You can bring a waterproof camera (like a GoPro) at your own risk. We do not recommend bringing non-waterproof electronics like phones, as they will get wet. Our guides take photos throughout the trip, which are available for purchase afterward, so you can focus on paddling and enjoying the scenery!

Will there be a guide in our raft?

Absolutely. Every raft is commanded by one of our professional, internationally certified river guides. They are experts at navigating the Wild Vjosa and are there to ensure your trip is safe, fun, and memorable.

What to Bring & Wear

What equipment do you provide?

We provide all the necessary professional-grade safety equipment. This includes a full-body wetsuit, neoprene (water) boots, a helmet, a paddle, and a personal flotation device (PFD), which is a high-buoyancy life jacket.

What should I wear for my rafting trip?

Please arrive with your swimsuit on, as you will wear this under the wetsuit we provide. You should also bring a pair of sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting wet (like old sneakers or water sandals with a heel strap). Please do not wear flip-flops, as they can easily fall off in the river.

Where can I put my wallet, keys, and dry clothes?

You can securely store your personal belongings in lockers at our rafting base in Përmet while you are on the river. We will return to the base after the trip where you can change into your dry clothes.

Safety & Requirements

Do I need to know how to swim?

The ability to swim is recommended but not required. Everyone on the trip wears a high-flotation life jacket (PFD) that will keep you afloat if you happen to go for a swim. Please be sure to inform your guide if you are not a confident swimmer.

Are there any age or health restrictions?

For our classic Vjosa rafting trip, the minimum age is typically 6-8 years old, but this can vary depending on river conditions. Participants should be in good physical health and prepared for an active adventure. Please inform us of any medical conditions (such as asthma, epilepsy, or serious allergies) when you book.

How physically demanding is the trip?

Vjosa rafting is an active trip that requires paddling. You should be prepared to paddle for intermittent periods. However, it is suitable for most people with a reasonable level of fitness and a spirit for adventure. There are also plenty of moments to relax and float while enjoying the scenery.
